Stephanie's Charity Haircut

At St Gregory's we know we have amazing pupils, and their spirit of charity and kindness never weakens.  We were immensely proud of Stephanie who decided to go for the chop and donate her locks to the Little Princess Trust.

We are immensely proud of Stephanie who last weekend had a haircut with a difference.  Stephanie sought sponsorship to have her hair cut and then donated the pony tail she usually wears to school to a charity that makes wigs for children and young people, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

The money Stephanie raised will fund the making of wigs, whilst the hair she donated will be used in a wig for another young person.  It can take up to 10 hair donations to make one wig.

Well done Stephanie for choosing to make such a selfless act to benefit someone else.  We hope to bring you news of the amount raised in the future and at school we look forward to sharing Stephanie's news at our celebration assembly.
