This week year 4 have learned about the Pharaohs and their magnificent burial chambers, the pyramids. The afterlife was important to the Egyptians, and they believed that by preserving a dead person's body through the process of mummification - their soul would live on in the after-life forever. Year 4 practised the bandaging part of the mummification process. They learned the mummification bandages were 1 mile long, whilst the children weren't given that much to practise with, they had a good go!
