Our Freedom Quilt is here! As part of our studies during Black History Month Years 3 and 4 created patches for our patchwork quilt. They've now been sewn together and the quilt is to be displayed in school very soon.
In October the whole school joined in an assembly where our visitor Nicola shared a story from the 1800s about the pathway to freedom of slaves in Georgia, USA. We learned about Underground Railroad Quilts, we're sure your child will be keen to tell you the story!
