World Book Day 2018

What an exciting day, we had snow and we celebrated World Book Day! It was a great day with lots of costumes celebrating our favourite characters.  If you haven't already, please take a look at our photo gallery.

Nanny McPhee, Alice and the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, Pippi Longstocking, a few Harry Potters and Mr Twit were all among our teaching staff as was a very beautiful Cinderella and his, I mean her 2 ugly sisters!

The quote of the day didn't come from a book though, it was from Crystal in Year 2.  Crystal dressed up as her favourite character Cinderella.  She saw Mr Boshell dressed as Cinderella and was in awe of his outfit.
Crystal - "Why do you have kitchen foil on your shoes Mr Boshell?"
Mr Boshell - "They're my shiny glass slippers."
"I came practical." Crystal said as she poked her wellington boots out from under her beautiful dress!

Thank you for supporting our Biscuit and Book events this week and in your child's dressing up to celebrate their love of reading today.
